It even comes with a decently powerful GPU, though it’s not going to stand up to the best gaming laptops out there. And, while its battery life could also be a little better, it’s an incredibly portable machine, making this a great option for taking on the road.

The Asus ZenBook Pro Duo15UX582L can be used for recording, editing, and mixing new tracks. Thanks to its dual-OLED touchscreen display, you can keep your tools close by while having more space to focus on the task at the hand.
It doesn’t have any of the latest Intel Core processors but the Core i7/Core i9 are strong enough for almost any task, including mixing live audio or recording a session in a studio.
The battery life of this device isn’t great. You might find your music suddenly stop when you least expect it.

A Thunderbolt 4 port, an HDMI port, a SD card slot and three Thunderbolt 4 connectors (all of which are available thanks to MagSafe charging being refunded) are all nice extras.

It also features a beautiful touch display with a resolution of 2496×1664, so your eyes can be as entertained and as vibrant as your music. It’s battery life is decent too, enough to see you through a whole work day. It could use a few more ports, but that’s what a hub is for. Whether you’re producing someone’s music or making your own, this one’s one of the best.

The Acer Aspire is the best budget laptop for music production because it’s a fast, well-performing laptop that hits all the right, well, notes, all while saving you several. This highly priced laptop offers a lot for less than $700. It features an AMD Ryzen 7 dual core processor that runs at 4.0GHz and 8GB RAM. Although there are some issues with the price tag, they are easily overcome. For instance, five hours of battery life, which is the average for this model, will go by in a flash, so you’ll always want to make sure you’ve got your power cord tether with you on the road (even the 7.5-hour maximum can be no match for many producers when they find themselves deep in the groove).
